Q. How do I transfer my domain to your systems so as I can take advantage of the the Zone-Reg features?

A. For .uk domains please send an email containing the following, to your existing domain host. "Please release mydomain.co.uk to the EBH Tag." For .com's .net's .org's etc. please make sure you have your EPP key and you can transfer in following the prompts using our domain purchasing wizard.

Q. I already have domains, when is it best to transfer them and what are the costs involved?

A. .uk domains can be transferred in or out anytime, the process is simple and FREE. Most other domains such as .com's .net's and .org's require a fee, the best thing to do is wait until just before the domain is due for renewal and then transfer, the fee is the same as for a year (usually £8.98 inclusive) and you get a year FREE. Please note that you cannot transfer expired domains.

Q. I want your low cost domains but want to host my sites elsewhere, is this possible?

A. Of course and there are several ways to do this. The easiest way is to setup forwarding from the domain control panel. Alternatively, you can setup the domains DNS to forward mail to any mail server and web requests to any web server, again this can be acheived via the domain control panel. Also, you can change the nameservers for the domain and bypass the control panel completely.

Q. I would like to leave my domains with my existing host but use your hosting services and domain control panel, is this possible?

A. Yes it is, you will need to select "Order Hosting Only" from the Hosting Page then purchase your package specifying the domain name you will point to the server. Then go to your domain host and specify the following nameserver settings for your domain as follows:

Primary Nameserver: ns1.ebhauk.net
Secondary Nameserver: ns2.ebhauk.net

If you then want to buy domains from us to point to the same site, you can do this by purchasing domains only, using the Domain(s) + Free services option. Domains purchased in this way will be added to your account where you setup forwarding of web and email.

If you would like to point external domains to the same site, you will need to either setup forwarding for web and/or email with your domain host directly, or specify the above DNS settings, then raise a support request and we will add it to your account and point it to your primary domain for your hosting account.

Q. If I select and buy an SSL certificate whilst registering a domain and setting up hosting, is it installed and setup automaitically or do I have to install it myself?

A. Unfortunately fully automatic setup is not possible due to the information required for and the process of obtaining an SSL Certificate. For QuickSSL and SSLPremium the process involves email exchange, whilst for TrueBizID it involves the customer faxing documents and review by a human at Geotrust, prior to issuing the certificate.

Due to the complexity of this we will provide complete support in the provision of a site with a dedicated IP address and installing the certificate provided. The customer should follow the instructions in the purchasing wizard and then simply log a helpdesk ticket.
